Publications

Publications grouped by subject

It's usual in academia to list publications by type (e.g. journal or conference papers), but this can make it difficult to find what's of interest, particularly if you're focusing on an actual subject (as most people are) rather than where the article was published. So, while I do have to maintain the traditional list by type because it's often needed to copy and paste into other documents, I've tried here to provide a more directly useful grouping of some of my hopefully more useful publications, drawing on insights from a survey I did in 2013. Some fit into multiple categories, because that's how things are in the real world, so there are some duplicates in the lists. Wherever possible I have provided a link to an open-access, free downloadable version of publications, because otherwise, what's the point?
